Climate change is upon us. Children will be most affected, as the climate emergency is expected to worsen over their lifetimes.
Teach Your Parents (TYP) is a free climate literacy initiative for schools and children.
Through comics, animations, and school workshops, children learn about climate change in fun and creative ways.
Children then paint what they’ve learned and their ideas for change.
Selected paintings are exhibited in a formal art gallery show.
TYP gives young people a platform to share their ideas and feelings with the community, and to start thinking about how they can make a difference.
We are excited to launch the 2026 edition of Teach Your Parents. This year’s program will wrap up with a final exhibition at the Arnprior and District Museum in Arnprior, Canada.
If you're a student, teacher, parent, or school interested in participating, view the How to Participate section.

TYP Exhibition at the Arnprior and District Museum
TYP’s 2025–26 edition culminated in a three-month public exhibition at the Arnprior and District Museum in Arnprior, Ontario, running until April 11, 2026. The exhibition featured TYP comics and student paintings, accompanied by panel discussions on climate issues and artist-led workshops.
TYP's Climate Comics make climate science easy to understand through fun, relatable stories and simple visuals.
Created as both comics and short animations, they help kids learn about climate change and start conversations at home.
